The Greater San Diego Tamil Academy (GSDTA) is a nonprofit, non-political, non-sectarian and non-religious organization that teaches Tamil language and culture to children across the Greater San Diego area.
Our classes are open to any child in the Greater San Diego area who wants to learn Tamil — no prior knowledge is required. The Enrollment page lists the grades and classes currently accepting students.
Enrollment →Create an account, add a student profile for your child, then apply to a class from the Enrollment page. You will see the status of each application there, including whether your child has a seat or is on the waitlist.
Enrollment →Our curriculum builds Tamil reading, writing and speaking skills alongside an understanding of Tamil literature and culture. Lessons are organized by grade level.
Text books →Textbooks and homework for every grade are published on the Textbooks page, where you can read them online.
Text books →Term dates, class days and holidays for the school year are published on the Calendar page.
Calendar →GSDTA is a registered nonprofit organization. Our IRS determination letter is available on the Documents page under the tax-exempt section — please consult it, or your tax advisor, regarding deductibility.
